Stratham, NH

New construction in Stratham, NH. This site features natural cleft bluestone in both pattern stock and irregular flagging, with reclaimed granite accents and a pinwheeled granite firepit. More plantings are to be phased in, but we started with a focus on low maintenance, high reward trees, shrubs, and perennials that provide interest through all seasons.

We started with a blank slate and Joe was amazing to work with and the project exceeded our expectations! He was quick to respond and always very knowledgeable when it came to answering our questions.

Kittery Point

The goal here was to integrate a new patio in an existing mature landscape. We chose this rust colored bluestone to naturalize the space, and surrounded it with shade loving understory perennials and shrubs to compliment the existing garden.

Historic Portsmouth

This was a full renovation of a historic downtown Portsmouth site. A massive overgrown perennial garden was removed to make way for a large lawn with children and pets in mind. We preserved many of the perennials and trees, while integrating a new permeable cobblestone patio atop some major drainage infrastructure to mitigate water issues that had troubled the low lying site. The homeowners had the 1920’s soapstone sink in storage, which was framed in site harvested granite and repurposed as a beverage trough. The cedar and wire fence was a collaboration between us and Matt Stack of Port Light and Water, who also installed all of the irrigation and landscape lighting on the site.

Our yard has become a perfect extension of our home’s living space. We can’t stress enough the importance of working with someone who can create an outdoor environment that does not appear forced or contrived. Joe simply delivered.

Ferry Beach

The D-radius reclaimed granite firepit is the star of the show on this coastal property abutting conservation land. An existing concrete patio was covered with beautiful Hampton limestone that completely changed the aesthetic of this backyard. Reclaimed granite steps were laid into the slope to subtly grade out the lawn and allow for extra seating space around the fire pit. More reclaimed granite was used to lead around the side of the house, as well as down the slope into the woodland edge beds filled with native, shade loving plants.

We are so pleased with his design and have received many compliments.
